Better Civics x Philly 311

The city of Philadelphia has become a victim to illegal dumping and trash-ridden streets. Better Civics has partnered with Philly 311 to try and attack the problem at the source; Better Civics is an organization that raises public awareness to become active in the city and civil movements taking place. Philly 311 is an important outlet for citizens to report issues like damaged roads, abandoned cars, and trash piles. Both companies wanted to create a sticker campaign that involved a recognizable design that would grab attention and urge people to take action. The idea is that a person can put the sticker on/near a problem area to get more citizens aware and reporting the problem to Philly 311. I found that the “dislike” button icon is widely and universally understood and it worked perfectly as a clear icon.
